“INVERTED explores the shifting landscape of form and colour when objects are dissembled and reassembled. The merging of these two practices examines the implied continuity of an unfinished object, forcing a never-ending cycle of renewal. Imarni Boyer-Nugent’s work questions if destruction is a negative or positive action, treating artworks violently and carelessly despite the large investment of time and labour. Lily Friesen’s work explores the pattern and material within architecture, which are simultaneously objects and blueprints, continuously evolving and repeating. Will there ever be a point of finality?”
