'The Cycle' 2025
'THE CYCLE (Colab PT.2) 2025 3min. I haven't spell-checked this because I can't dedicate any more time of my life to this project or I will die. Long story short, my original video was 'inappropriate' (too honest) and was banned from being displayed at the Colab exhibition. I've then been forced to re-make my video ASAP, despite having finished every element of the project, including a varied resource list, because some people can't take (deserved) criticism. I've got 2 works out of this project, so it's not all bad, and this situation has helped me work quickly - but seriously... fix this module.

'Lyndsay & Imarni' 2025
'Lyndsay & Imarni' 2025 Dimensions variable Wool embroidered on calico, metal tacks. This is a work about my mother and birthdays. (April 9th for my mother, and January 21st for myself). It's hard for me to share personal artworks, but making them is helping me work through past experiences now that they're not so 'fresh'. I lost my mother when I was in primary school, but I've still received milestone birthday cards from her for my 16th, 18th, and 21st birthdays. She pre-wrote them in advance for me, with my grandmother's help when she was too ill to write them herself. I'm sad that there aren't any more cards for me to open, but at the same time, it's a huge relief, as they would always upset me so much.

'Mobile for Living Babies' 2022
Inspired by David Cronenberg’s ‘Dead Ringers’ (1988), most notably the opening credits sequence. Made with acetate, paint markers, embroidery thread, and a wire coat hanger, the piece explores themes of conjoined twins, abortion, and viewing motherhood and birth through a cynical and morbid lens. The piece was made for an ongoing project delving into the concepts of ‘shock art’, and controversial or taboo themes, finding new ways to preset ideas through experimental methods and twisting the original meanings of ‘traditional objects’ (eg: baby mobiles).
